About Us

The Lord's Garden
The Lord’s Garden is a 1.5 acre farm land located in the peaceful township of Batu Arang in the Gombak district, state of Selangor. The farm itself is used to be a KTM railway station for the local charcoal mining industry, hence the name Batu Arang. The previous user of the land was rearing cows in the area many years ago before he abandoned it. After some time, the land become not unlike a secondary jungle, overgrown with greens. In May 2002, Yahqappu came upon the land and slowly converted it into an organic vegetable and fruit farm which it has become today.

Objective
The main objective was to start a life of self-sufficiency, social integration and spiritual progress. Seeking the meaning of life in its fundamentals lead Yahqappu into organic farming.

Batu Arang Community
The local community is comprised of even distribution of the three major races. There are also a lot of charitable and shelter homes all over the township e.g. Rumah Ozanam, a shelter home for HIV women and their children run by the Society Of St. Vincent De Paul (SSVP). Unlike the bustling city, the lifestyle here very much laid back and more in tuned with rhythm of nature.
